Welcome to BoardNotes (hereinafter referred to as “the App” or “we”). This handwritten note-taking app is designed for iOS devices, offering a natural and fluid writing and synchronization experience. Please read these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using BoardNotes, you confirm that you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. • We do not collect personal identity information such as phone numbers or emails; your account is automatically bound to your iCloud.
• In‑app advertisements may collect device identifiers; Google Drive integration requires your explicit authorization.
• Your note content is always stored in your personal iCloud and/or Google Drive; we do not upload it to our own servers.
BoardNotes does not require you to create a separate account, nor will it ask for your phone number, email address, or other personal identity information. The App automatically binds to the iCloud account already signed in on your iOS device. As long as multiple devices are signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled, your notes will automatically sync across those devices via Apple’s iCloud service.
You understand and agree that the stability, speed, and storage availability of iCloud synchronization depend on Apple’s services and your iCloud plan. We assume no direct liability for synchronization failures or data loss caused by iCloud service anomalies, account conflicts, or insufficient storage space.
All handwritten notes, sketches, imported documents, and other content you create using BoardNotes (collectively, “User Content”) belong solely to you. The App does not upload your note content to any server owned by the BoardNotes developer. User Content is primarily stored in:
You are responsible for backing up your important notes yourself. We recommend regularly using the Google Drive feature or iCloud for backups.
BoardNotes offers integration with Google Drive, allowing you to:
Authorization process: When you first use a Google Drive‑related feature, the App will request your explicit consent through Google’s official OAuth flow. This authorization is limited to the file access scope specified in the Google permissions dialog. We do not obtain your Google account password, nor do we access or modify other files without your permission.
Third‑party terms: Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, data loss, or security incidents related to Google Drive. You may revoke BoardNotes’ access at any time through your Google Account settings.
BoardNotes integrates third‑party advertising services to help keep the app free for certain features. Advertising partners may automatically collect certain device information, such as:
We do not actively collect your name, phone number, email, note content, or iCloud account information for advertising purposes. You can manage ad tracking preferences through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising, and Settings > Privacy > Tracking. If you enable “Ask Apps Not to Track,” BoardNotes will not request the IDFA for cross‑app tracking, though non‑personalized ads may still be shown.

The App itself: The name BoardNotes, its icon, interface design, source code, algorithms, and all elements other than User Content are owned by the developer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.
Your notes: You retain all rights to your User Content. You grant BoardNotes a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license solely to display, synchronize, and process this content on your devices (for example, rendering handwriting into graphics). This license ends when you delete the content or stop using the App.
You agree not to use BoardNotes for the following:

BoardNotes is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not guarantee that:
You assume all risk associated with using the App. We are not liable for limitations caused by network conditions, device compatibility, changes to Apple services, or adjustments to third‑party APIs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of BoardNotes and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, data loss, business interruption, or device damage) arising from or related to the use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you actually paid for the App in the preceding six months, or if the App was used free of charge, ten U.S. dollars (USD 0.01) or the equivalent in your local currency.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply. These Terms grant you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality, legal requirements, or operational practices. The updated Terms will be communicated through an in‑app notice or update log, with the effective date noted at the top. Your continued use of BoardNotes after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the competent court in the developer’s locality.
